About Grislo Village
We at Grislo Village Co., Ltd. wanted to create a tour that would allow people to enjoy Aso while also protecting nature, so we have launched an experiential guided tour business where participants drive through the grasslands of Aso in a small electric vehicle called "Green Slow Mobility (Grislo)." With consideration for both people and the environment, we plan to donate a portion of the profits to the pasture association.
The Aso region is attractive for its idyllic landscapes where horses and cattle graze on the grasslands. However, as livestock farmers age and retire, the environment surrounding grassland conservation, such as field burning, is becoming more severe every year. In discussions with the local Kurokawa Pasture Association (Aso City), they came up with the idea of a tour that would run along the pasture roads within the pastures, and they focused on the Grislo as a vehicle that would be easy for children and the elderly to use.
The Grislo is an electric vehicle similar to a golf cart that can run on public roads at less than 20 kilometers per hour. It is being promoted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and the Ministry of the Environment in order to realize a low-carbon society.
Following the results of an experiential tour previously held as a "demonstration experiment" by the Ministry of the Environment, we have now decided to hold a guided tour.

This activity is a tour-type activity driven by a professional guide who knows Aso inside and out. Along the way, you can enjoy Mount Aso at your own pace while listening to various guides talk about the mountains, flowers, and the origins of Mount Aso.
